False. Ordinary holders are very easy to pry off — someone with bad intent can steal a plate from a standard holder just as easily, and doing so is, of course, illegal.

Unlike competing products, the magnets hold only a fraction of the total force — the majority is supported by mechanical resistance. Even if the magnets were to fail completely, the mechanical structure would still hold. The product is engineered with extremely tight clearances and a specialized design that locks all components securely in place.

Some users prefer additional mechanical reassurance, so screws are included for optional use. However, installation with screws is not necessary.
